The official costume guidelines ban costumes that resemble police, fire, security or medical uniforms (including hi-vis vests), handcuffs, glass or ceramic masks, gas masks, sharp metal spikes, and anything resembling a weapon, real or fictional. That includes fake guns, swords, axes, whips and lightsabers. Violent props such as crops, ropes, chains and tethers are also out. Can I wear full clown or zombie face makeup?
Yes, with one limit: full-face makeup that makes you unrecognisable from your government-issued photo ID is not allowed. Keep enough of your face visible to match your ID, or finish the look after entry.
